New in New York

So I haven't really been updating this but I have a pretty good excuse. Just moved to New York City one week ago and we don't have internet in our apartment yet. Now more than ever would be the time to update but I'm currently sitting in Starbucks on my girlfriends pink Macbook and my soymilk frappuccino is only going to last so long. Did I really just type that?

Anyways I've managed to work 4 days already, albeit in an internship, but it's a start I suppose. Aside from that I've been networking, working on the apartment and exploring New York. I have no plans of neglecting this blog, if anything I'll eventually be updating it a lot more than I used to. Have a couple of future projects in mind that could work for blogging.

Okay I'm out, I have a bunch of emailing to tend to.

Take care people.

Food

This is what happens when I try to make some nice food photos. First one was the general idea, then I went elsewhere with the photos.

People

Long time no post. Had a few photoshoots in the studio recently, it's been a while but they came out pretty nice. Tried a few different things with lighting the background and used a ringflash for fill in the black and white image.

The first two images were part of a set of portraits of the band Triceratops from Columbus.

The last two are for a fashion shoot that was geared towards fragrance.

MusicMan

So the past few weeks have been pretty hectic with finals, scheduling, photo series and finishing up design projects. Here are a couple of images taken for my final series in Still Life. I focused on guitar parts but went in a different direction than my previous post.

Hanging Objects

For whatever reason I seem to be in the mood of hanging objects on strings. Two of my latest shoots have been soccer cleats and a guitar pick. Copa Mundials began being manufactured in 1979 and have been one of the worlds most popular soccer cleats ever since. Fender happened to be the lucky brand of choice for having a great looking pick that could have light bounced through it.
