Lazy Blogger / Fall Quarter
So I'm terrible at keeping up with this. I have so many photos hanging out on my laptop but I figured I'd update with a couple of school projects from fall quarter, then update over break other stuff I did. Not going to bother overloading another update so I'll keep it short with a few of my favorites from the quarter.
This wasn't turned in for a final assignment but I really dig the photo. Have some more from this motorcycle shoot I plan on toning in the future.
Here's something different. I haven't been doing a lot of still life and I haven't done food photography for a few years. But I will be doing more still life / food this winter and it's something that I definitely need to brush up on.
This was from one of my favorite shoots of the quarter. Definitely an amusing day and makes me hope I get to do cool projects like this after graduation. The whole process of finding this motel, dealing with the owners, and getting random calls to the room during the shoot just added to this bizarre world I got to experience for one day. I still have some shots I want to wrap up that I'll probably shoot this Spring to finalize the set for my portfolio.
Okay this was a pretty long post, especially because there's still one more thing left. I had the opportunity to shoot video this quarter, something I've always wanted to do more of since high school. Me and my friends were always making videos whether it be for skating or entertainment, so it was really cool to use more sophisticated equipment / software all these years later.
This is my friend Ryan. A friend since high school and a good dude, backed hard. He was kind enough to let me take pictures of him all day for another shoot. I had an idea in my head for awhile that revolved around shooting a video about skateboarding. I had a D300s with me that day and modified my original idea based off of equipment, and assignment details.
